Available CoursesThis section is for students in the 2009 - 2010 school year. Computer Science 20 is introduction to the components and operation of computers. Students will learn about computer hardware and software, about problem solving and about programming using the Python programming language. There are no official prerequisites for this course, but a credit in Math 10 is recommended. You may log in as a guest without an account. To participate in the course and receive a credit, you must register for the course through the NBCHS office. Computer Science 30 builds on skills developed in Computer Science 20, with a focus on data types and larger program development using an object-oriented programming model. The Python programming language is used for this course. You must have a credit in Computer Science 20 to enroll in this course. You may log in as a guest without an account. This course provides an introduction to calculus. Derivatives of polynomials, rational functions, and trigonometric functions are included. Derivatives are applied to curve sketching, maximum and minimum problems, inflection points, and related rates. Topics in integration include area between curves.
